1) Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu

2) Sanchi Stupa, Madhya Pradesh

With all of the monuments Sanchi comprises a series of Buddhist monuments starting from the Mauryan Empire period  continuing with the Gupta Empire period and ending around the 12th century CE. Oldest, and also the largest monument, is the Great Stupa also called Stupa No. 1. During the following centuries, especially under the Shungas and the Satavahanas, the Great Stupa was enlarged and decorated with gates and railings, and smaller stupas were also built in the vicinity, especially Stupa No.2, and Stupa No.3.

3) Amer Fort, Rajasthan

Amer Fort or Amber Fort is in Amer town with an area located 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from Jaipur. The town of Amer and the Amber Fort were originally built by Raja Man Singh and additions were, later, made by Sawai Jai Singh. Located high on a hill, it is the core tourist attraction in Jaipur. Amer Fort is known for its artistic style elements. With its large ramparts and series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the main source of water for the Amer Palace.

4) Victoria Memorial, Kolkata

The Victoria Memorial is a large marble building in Central Kolkata. It is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria, Empress of India from 1876 to 1901. It is now a museum under the support of the Ministry of Culture, and is the largest monument in the world which is dedicated to a royal.The memorial lies on the Maidan and is one of the famous monuments of Kolkata. 5) Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur In Mehrangarh Fort’s boundaries there are several palaces known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards, as well as a museum housing various relics. A winding road leads to and from the city below. The imprints of the impact of cannonballs fired by attacking armies of Jaipur can still be seen on the second gate. To the left of the fort is the chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier who fell on the spot defending Mehrangarh. For this reason Mehrangarh is one of the famous historical places of India.
